Who are we?

Hey!

We're University College London Union's branch of Student Action for Refugees, a national body that works to promote the rights of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. As one of over 30 national groups, our UCLU branch works in tandem with other STAR groups on important campaigns and actions.

Student Action for Refugees at UCL organises different volunteering placements within refugee support groups and communities for its members. We also campaign, lobby and raise political and public awareness about the plight of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.

To find out more about STAR National, have a look at their website; there's lots of great general information about why an organisation like STAR exists in the UK.

Want to get more involved? Brilliant!

If you'd like to get more involved in UCLU Student Action for Refugees, please get in touch with us through our Facebook page, Twitter account and even the UCLU societies page!
